Taking an environmentally sensitive approach to pest management
The 2020 virtual weed science field day begins today with the launch of a five minute video: Evaluating Non-chemical Control Options for Waterhemp in Soybean. The video can be found on YouTube, FaceBook, Twitter, and Instagram and summarizes preliminary research on early-season waterhemp emergence in the spring following fall harvest treatments that include SeedTerminator, narrow windrow burning, and cereal rye planting. Please feel free to post questions or comments about the video to social media or if you prefer e-mail Dr. Bradley (bradleyke@missouri.edu) or myself with your thoughts.
The next video is slated to launch on Tuesday, July 14th, and will feature Ph.D. student Eric Oseland discussing UAV sensors as potential tools for detecting yield loss in soybean following injury due to synthetic auxin herbicides.
