Sherwood Flame

Japanese maples are a species of deciduous shrubs or small trees that can grow 3 to 30 feet tall. Varieties vary for form, color, leaf type, size, and preferred growing conditions. Sherwood flame is one of the varieties displayed in our garden. Its mature height is about 15 feet. Sherwood flame tree has a low canopy that is only 2 feet off the ground. It has beautiful, deeply lobed, foliage that turns from a dull green to a fiery red in the fall. Sherwood flame grows at a slow rate and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for 60 years.
