Burning Bush

Burning bush is a dense, deciduous shrub native to eastern Asia. Although it grows at a slow rate, it can reach up to 15 feet tall and 15 feet wide. Burning bush is also known as winged Euonymus because the stems have four corky ridges or "wings" on them. It can grow beyond its intended boundaries, so some states in the eastern US have banned the sale or import of the shrub. During the fall months, foliage turns from a green to a fiery red, hence the name burning bush.
