Star Magnolia

Star magnolias are native to Japan. Plants can grow as trees or shrubs and typically reach a height of 15 to 20 feet. Flowers appear from fuzzy buds in early spring or late winter and resemble stars, giving the plant its name. Petals of the flowers are strap-like and white. A light fragrance fills the air when these plants are in bloom.
