Hyacinth

Hycanith is native to Turkey, Syria, and Lebanon. Plants reach a height of about 12 inches. Leaves are strap-like and narrow. Tube-like flowers appear in clusters in spring. These flowers can be grown inside in a special bulb vase. Many people enjoy being around hyacinth because of their strong, sweet fragrance. Flowers can be many different colors, from pure white to a dark purple, with pinks and reds in between.
