Cranesbill Geranium

Cranesbill geranium is native to Europe. This herbaceous plant grows about 20 inches tall with a similar spread. Five-petal flowers appear individually along branches in deep shades of magenta. The name cranesbill comes from the beak-like shape of its fruit. Leaves turn crimson in fall. Roots have been used to make a red dye.
