Stonecrop Sedum

There are many types of sedums, making it hard to narrow it down to a single country of origin. Most sedums grow only 3 to 6 inches tall, but have a spread of roughly 1 foot. Flowers are not showy, so the main focus of the plant is the succulent water-storing leaves. These round leaves were adapted to help sedum survive in dry environments. Leaves are edible and are found in salads in Europe.
