Creeping Phlox

Creeping phlox is native to sunny, rocky areas from Michigan to the Appalachians. Stems grow horizontally, spreading up to 3 feet while plant height reaches only about 6 inches. The dense mat formed by creeping phlox is covered in loose clusters of purple, pink, or white flowers in spring. Tubular flowers attract butterflies.
