Coral Bells

Coral bells is native to North America. Although classified as perennial and evergreen, the retention of foliage in Missouri is related to the severity of winter weather. Subtle flowers form on long stalks in early summer. Leaves are the main attraction of coral bells. They are large and heart-shaped and come in many different colors. Many gardeners plant coral bells for foliage and not flowers. Coral bells was named because of the coral-colored bell-shaped flowers.
