Crape Myrtle

Crape myrtle is native to Korea and China. There are many types of crape myrtle, so mature height can range from 2 to 25 feet. Flowers in shades of purple, red, or white are borne in clusters and look like delicate crinkled tissue paper. If the fall season is long and cool, crape myrtle can provide beautiful color to an autumn landscape. Bark of crape myrtles sheds throughout the year and provides interest in the winter.
