St. John's Wort

St. John's wort is native to Europe, western Asia, and northern Africa. Shrubs grow 1 to 3 feet tall. Yellow flowers have five petals surrounding very showy reproductive structures. Plants are well known for their medicinal properties. Extracts from the plant can be used in psychiatric medicine.
