Lavendar
Lavender is native to the Mediterranean and is in the mint family. Plants are about 1 to 2 feet tall. Pale green leaves are coated with dense hairs, giving the plant a silvery luster. Typically a light purple, lavender flowers are tiny and arranged in a spiral along upright spikes. Every part of the lavender plant contains the oil that produces the sweet fragrance. Lavendar oil is processed commercially for balms, perfumes, and costmetics. Lavender can be used for cooking and medicinally.
