Daddy Longlegs

Daddy longlegs arachnids and have a delicate appearance. They have small bodies and long legs. Their eyes are arranged in two groups of three on the sides and two smaller eyes that are centrally located. Most species are brown or gray. Although closely related, daddy longlegs are not spiders and do not produce silk for webs. Contrary to a common myth, they are not venomous. In fact, they do not have fangs. Instead of hunting prey, they are mostly scavengers.
