English Ivy

English Ivy is a hardy evergreen. As a trailing vine, it provides ground cover for shaded areas where grass will not grow and forms a dense mat 6-8 inches tall. As a climbing vine, it can grow up to 80 feet tall and completely cover tree trunks and walls. The variety shown is 'Baltica,' which has dark-green, lobed leaves with silver veins on its surface. In some areas in the Pacific Northwest English ivy is considered to be invasive, meaning uncontrollable.
