Witch Hazel

Witch-hazel is one of the few garden plants that bloom during winter in the Midwest. Both buds and opened flowers add winter interest. But, these plant parts are small, so you must look closely. Several varieties exist, but all produce flowers with flour slender petals. Petal color ranges from yellow to orange to red.
